0000109: Oil Pressure Light & Buzzer have activated when warm

Description

Following conditions have become an issue:
Oil pressure light (lower than 0.3 bar at any given time) has been constantly flashing at idle since purchase.
Oil Buzzer (less than 1.8 bar at 2000rpm for a minimum of 2 seconds) has come on briefly twice.
These items, if their meaning is true, indicate that the engine is experiencing very low oil pressure.

Steps To Reproduce

Drive for 20-30 minutes

Additional Information

This could be failing oil pressure switches & senders. I have replacements for all of these parts, already, so I will try to replace these first. May also require an oil pressure gauge for a true reading.

If this reading is too low, main and rod bearings may need to be replaced.

(0000115) legoguy (administrator) 2014-06-16 05:29 edited on: 2014-07-18 00:32	number 3 main bearing damaged. Scored crankshaft. Removed engine, replaced crankshaft with one from a donor engine, replaced main seals, exhaust gaskets, repaired exhaust manifold, cleaned & painted engine & transmission. Issue is resolved.
